My name is Ethan, and I’m from Tenafly, New Jersey, just outside of the city. I’m participating in a gap year program based in Jerusalem called Kivun. To begin the year, I’ll live on a kibbutz, a communal living environment, for a about three weeks. Following that, I’ll be interning at Jerusalem Media Group, an Israeli media company, to get a sense of what it’s like to be part of the Israeli workforce. Afterwards, I’ll train for and then join Magen David Adom, Israel’s national medical emergency service. I hope to learn and grow from my diverse experiences, and am excited to have Duke waiting for me when I get back!
