Hi! My name is Siena, and I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I also spent the last two years of high school in a boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts. My parents are both from Nepal, so I grew up visiting Nepal almost every year since I was born. This year I decided I wanted to take a gap year to build my own connection to Nepal independent of my family. Starting in September I will be living in Kathmandu! Over the year, I plan on learning how to speak, read, and write in Nepali. I am also volunteering at a school and interning with various cultural heritage activists in Nepal. My friend, Becca, from boarding school is also joining me in Nepal for the first few months, so you may see her in a post or two. I look forward to sharing my story!
