Hi! My name is Maile, I am from the Bay Area in California. To start off my gap year I will be going to Nice, France to take French language classes and improve my conversational skills. I hope to do a little bit of traveling in Europe after the program and visit some friends at school. After returning home to work and coach girls basketball, I am then looking to travel and volunteer in Southeast Asia. My goal for my year is to push myself out of my comfort zone with independent travel, work, and service, and spend time learning about myself and my interests.
