Hi! My name is Katie and I am from Pennington, New Jersey. I will be participating in the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) during my gap year. Through this program, I will spend 11 months living in Germany with host families. For the first two months of the program I will live in Bonn, Germany attending the Akademie für Internationale Bildung (AIB) where I will take German classes to improve my fluency. Then I will move to a new host family in Rust, Germany where I will attend a German high school to continue to practice my German. After the New Year I will complete internships for the next six months in various fields including Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Culinary Arts, and Mycology. I will also spend my free time throughout the year exploring Germany and visiting nearby European countries.
