Hey everyone! My name is Aviv. I was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel but have lived in Westlake Village, California for most of my life. The primary plan and purpose of my gap year is to backpack the world. Specifically, I plan to spend the first 4 months of the year in South America—traveling down from Peru to Chile to Argentina and then finishing in Brazil. Next, come January, I plan to spend the remainder of my time in Southeast Asia, in no specific order: Thailand, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Japan. Throughout my gap year, I have dedicated myself to reading 1 book a week while also journaling my experiences. Perhaps the most important element of my year will be embodying the timeless maxim of “Live in the now” during my travel. My excitement for this upcoming journey is truly ineffable!
