Hi! My name is Mary and I am from Newport Beach, California. My gap year will begin in Parral, Mexico where I will live with a family as I spend four months teaching English and, hopefully, improving my spanish. In January, I will move to London to intern with A21, an anti-human-trafficking organization. I will spend my weeks working and my weekends exploring Europe- writing, meeting people, and tasting all the food I can find. I hope that this year, with its two contrasting segments, will expand my perspectives and leave me with more than a few stories to tell.
