Hi. My name is Izzie and I’m from New York City. For the first few months of my gap year I have been focused on travel. During July, I was a counselor for a teen tour program traveling to Yosemite National Park, Alaska and Hawaii. I saw the Sequoia trees, hiked glaciers, went white water rafting and learned how to scuba dive. In September I will be traveling to Europe for a few weeks continuing my outdoor adventures in Switzerland, Italy and Portugal. Starting in October I will be attending the Israel XP gap year program at Bar Ilan University. I will be taking advanced courses in Judaic studies, Hebrew immersive language classes and beginner Arabic courses. I plan to earn an EMT certification volunteering with Magen David Adom (Israel’s emergency ambulance team.) As part of program I will be travelling throughout the country. During time off I hope to travel in Europe and the Middle East.
