Hi there! My name is Georgia and I’m from Montclair, New Jersey. To start off my Gap Year, I’ve been working at a restaurant, going to the gym, and hiking, but I’m about to head off on an 80-day trek through Peru and Bolivia. I’ll be hiking in the Andes and the Amazon, engaging in agricultural work, and immersing myself in Peruvian and Bolivian indigenous culture, politics, and way of life through intermittent homestays. After that, I plan on getting back to work for the winter. I’m still figuring out my plans for the spring, but I’m looking to spend more time outside and in service of the environment, to advance my goals surrounding environmental conservation. Throughout the year I’ll also be working on my cooking and getting creative with music (food and music are two of my favorite things)! I can’t wait to share my year with you!
