Hi, my name is Ryan and I am from Durham, NC! Throughout my gap year, I will be focusing on competitive curling around the United States.
I have curled for about 7 years now and recently played at the U18 national championship and U21 Junior National championship. I curl out of Triangle Curling Club in Durham, NC, but my gap year will involve lots of travel to different parts of the country. I am super excited to meet lots of new people and play in high level events to prepare me and my team for nationals this year. Outside of strictly competitive curling, I can’t wait to help lead the junior development program at Triangle Curling Club by designing curriculum and serving as a head instructor.
I am beyond excited for my gap year and apprehensive for the opportunities that await. I look forward to engaging in the gap year community and learning more about myself and my passions.
