Hi! My name is Joshua, and I am from Taiwan. I’ve lived here for pretty much my entire life, so
I’m really looking forward to spending a whole year in many different places abroad.
I love playing sports, especially soccer, basketball, and breakdancing, and I also really enjoy
singing and learning new songs on the guitar. Throughout the coming year, I hope to improve at
live performing, and my end goal is to busk across Europe.
I’ll kick-start my gap year in New Zealand, where I will do a 70-day NOLS course in the
wilderness from mid-September to early December. Next, I aim to work in Australia for two
months before backpacking along the east coast from Cairns to Sydney. After that, I’ll likely
head to Europe for two to three months, spending the bulk of that time interning in London.
Finally, I’ll move to the US, visiting relatives in California and settling in Durham.
