Hi! My name is Isabel Salehbhai, and I just graduated from the Paideia School.
Having lived in Atlanta, Georgia my whole life, I am truly excited to explore the world in my gap year! Later this month, I’ll be traveling to Seoul, Korea where I’ll be learning Korean at Yonsei
University’s Korean Language Institute! My mother is Korean-American, so I am both excited to learn the language of my heritage, and also connect with family whom I have never met before.
After my first semester at Yonsei is done, I hope to travel across Asia. I’ll then head back to Atlanta, where I plan to combine the creative arts + engineering by assisting on a multi-disciplinary installment in Georgia Tech’s LOOP. During this time I hope to continue my aerial arts training and possibly serve as a substitute teacher at my local studio.
My main goal for my gap year is to be open to as many different experiences as possible. I’d love this year to be chock full of new experiences both within and beyond my comfort zone, culminating in both a deeper understanding of the world and also what drives my passion.
