Hello! My name is Emron, and I’m from the little apple of Manhattan, Kansas!
I am planning to use my gap year to travel around the world with the Baret Scholars program. I loved learning about the world through the lens of international affairs in high school policy debate. Now, I want to get firsthand understanding of a variety of locations throughout the world by connecting with international students and residents. With Baret Scholars, I will accomplish this by traveling to seven main cities – New York City, São Paulo, Paris, Istanbul, Nairobi, New Delhi, and Beijing. I also want to use my experience to see and understand future
careers in data analytics, diplomacy, and political science across the world to narrow my interests and inform what I study in college and throughout my life.
