Constantine

Hi everyone! My name is Constantine, and I’m from Brooklyn, New York. I love sports, traveling around the world, and am in constant pursuit of culinary delights.

Over the course of my year, I hope to become fluent in Spanish, attend a few Champions League games in Europe, heliskiing in Canada, improve on my Greek, and even trek through Kyrgyzstan.

I will kick my year off living on the Costa del Sol, in Málaga, Spain, where I will take a month-long Spanish language course through the duration of September. In October I will be doing a similar Spanish course, but in Madrid, living with my cousins.

The games I plan on attending / have already attended are: Real Madrid vs Inter Milan (Madrid Sep 8); Portugal vs Norway (Porto Oct 4); Atlético Madrid vs Manchester United (Madrid Oct 13)

At the end of the month I will return to the Big Apple, where I will be based for November, December, and January. I hope to intern/shadow in sports analytics and data science, and work on my own predictive models. I hope to grow this passion of mine studying statistical science at Duke. During this time I also plan on working in a 14-seat omakase restaurant.

In February I will embark on a 10-week freeride program in Revelstoke, Canada. I will obtain my avalanche safety certification, improve my skiing, and go on a heliskiing adventure.

This takes me to mid-April, when I will return to NYC and see family and friends.

At the start of May, I will fly to Greece, where I will stay with family in Athens and continue my Greek for a month. I will see the many islands, visit more family friends, and maybe get a job at a local restaurant.

In June, I will try to backpack through Kyrgyzstan for two weeks with friends, maybe visiting some cities until late June. And then I will return to New York for summer and pack for Duke!
