Hi! My name is Bella. I’m originally from Taiwan, but I now live in Austin, Texas. I will be spending the first month of my gap year in Taiwan learning about the vibrant culture of my hometown through visiting historical sites, practicing my Chinese, and, of course, interacting with the local cuisine, whether by tasting new dishes, taking cooking classes, or exploring local farmers’ markets (and lots of boba runs!).
After that, I will participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Vocational Program, where I will spend 10 months living in Germany. During that time, I will take German language classes, attend a local high school, and intern at local companies. Through these experiences, I hope to discover new hobbies and career interests while immersing myself in German culture and traditions.
Finally, I will end my gap year journey in Italy, where I will be studying art, culinary, Italian, and exploring nearby countries!
