Hello, I am Anotidaishe Chinyadza, from Mutare, Zimbabwe. For the past two years of high
school, I have attended a boarding school in South Africa.
I am thrilled to begin my gap year journey with the Duke Gap Year Program. Over the next year,
I will explore various fields in biology to help me make a more informed decision about my future
major. I will be looking into the medical field, marine volunteering, and biotechnology. This will
take place in countries that include Portugal, South Africa, India and the Maldives. Travelling to
different countries will also give me an opportunity to explore and appreciate different cultures
and traditions across the world.
Additionally, I plan to spend quality time connecting with my family and local community before
heading off to college. I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
