Hi everyone! My name is Daniel, and I am from Georgia.
I like to listen to music (especially RnB) and enjoy taking part in almost every activity that has to do with the beach.
I originally did not plan on taking a gap year, but so far, I think it has been one of the best decisions I have made.
I realize now, through my gap year, I have the chance to grow in ways I could not have inside the classroom.
During my gap year, I plan to participate in three major programs.
First, I will be staying in Korea for 6 months through Yonsei University’s Korean Language Institute to improve my Korean and connect more with the culture.
Second, I will come back to Georgia to focus on my shadowing internship at Southern Rehab & Sports Medicine.
Lastly, I will be visiting London around March or May to visit London University College Hospital to check out the medical facilities there, and see various historical landmarks.
I am very excited to hone my cultural awareness skills and my critical thinking skills to contribute to Duke’s vibrant community, and I am grateful to Duke and the DGYP for giving me this opportunity.
