Hi! My name is Ben, and I’m from Raleigh, NC. I will be spending my time this year as a Trainee with Philadelphia Ballet.
I have danced on the side for most of my life but have never had the chance to fully focus on it. This year, I am so excited to be able to take my training to the next level and get a glimpse of what a professional career might look like.
As a trainee, I will get to perform throughout the larger Philadelphia area as a part of community outreach initiatives as well as with the company in their official season. The trainee position is in between a student and professional, with a focus on technique improvement similar to a student’s along with amazing performance opportunities with the company.
I’m so excited to see what opportunities this year will hold and intrigued to see how I will like focusing on just one of my interests for a year. I’m looking forward to updating you all about my experience as I go!
