Hi everyone! My name is Addi and I am from Guilford, Connecticut. During my time in the Duke Gap Year Program I hope to explore and learn about new places, improve my Spanish, spend lots of time outside, and make new friends! My year will begin with two months in Cape Town, South Africa, where I will pursue an internship in conservation and sustainable development. After that, I hope to spend time practicing my Spanish in South America, traveling throughout Southeast Asia, and backpacking in New Zealand! Above all, I’m super excited to face new adventures with the generous support of Duke!
