Hi everyone! My name is Kai and I am from London, England. In October, I will be interning at a adventure travel startup which will involve working at a hotel in the Maldives for two weeks. In the new year, I will be heading off to Korea to volunteer at a meditation center where I will be helping out around the temple and participating in language exchanges. This will be a really fun opportunity because I’ll be able to learn meditation, which I’ve always wanted to try.
The first half of my gap year is focused around working and gaining practical experience and trying to make a difference at such a new company. The second half is more focused around travelling around Asia, exploring my Korean heritage and immersing myself in a culture I have never experienced before. I already have volunteering opportunities confirmed in Korea, but I am also looking to explore more widely. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you for joining me on my journey!
