Hi everyone, my name is Ian! I will be spending the first three months of my gap year in Japan, studying Japanese at a school in Tokyo. (Late August through late November) I will be attending classes on the weekdays and traveling around Japan on the weekends.
Once I am back from Japan, I will be assisting coaching my high school and middle school swim teams, doing local volunteer work, and working a job. During this time I will also be practicing piano for the next part of the trip in Europe and an exam at the end of the year.
In the Spring, I will head off again to study and/or perform music in Europe. I will be using the money I saved from the jobs I worked to fund travel around Europe once I finish with my music stuff over there.
During my summer I will be taking a piano exam with my conservatory, hopefully recovering from a jaw surgery, and going on a multiple week long mission in Africa.
