Hi, my name is Alexa and I am from Morrisville, NC. I’ve grown up doing ballet, and I plan to pursue my dream during this year. I will be spending my gap year dancing as a trainee with Ballet Idaho!
I received an offer from them following my performance at a ballet competition, and as a trainee, I will be able to perform in many shows throughout the year. I look forward to performing in both the Nutcracker in December and Sleeping Beauty in May. I may also perform in several mixed repertoire performances throughout the year.
In between shows, trainees get great opportunities to work with multiple renowned choreographers, and we also put on our own show mid-March. I am very excited to broaden my ballet skills and perspective by training in a new area and with a company for the first time, as well as experience living away from my family.
