Hi! My name is Marcus and I’m from London, UK and I am really excited for you all to join me on my gap year! I am starting off with an engineering internship at Oceanium, which is a start-up company developing the technology to turn sustainably sourced seaweed into compostable materials to replace current carbon-intensive products. I am also hoping to do a further internship this Fall for a start-up company focused on urban aviation and drone delivery services. I am then going to the French Alps to spend part of the winter season snowboarding and hiking with some of my friends. I will finish off my gap year by spending nearly 3 months up in Alaska with NOLS where I will be mountaineering, kayaking, and hiking. I really look forward to everything this year has in store and to documenting it!
